Emerald Hotel Management Kft., a Budapest-based hotel and condominium management company, is a subsidiary of one of Hungary’s leading property development groups, Biggeorge Property Zrt. The challenge

Emerald Hotel Management Kft. was looking for a digital solution mainly to perform facility management tasks for their newly built hotel. They specifically examined software available on the market to reduce downtime and speed up team communication. After considering several options in the first year, they finally chose the product of Vienna-based PlanRadar, citing value for money. Emerald Hotel Management Kft first used the software comprehensively to implement real estate management tasks of Emerald Hotel & Suites, a 99-room, 51-suite hotel located in downtown Budapest.

The experiences

Downtime of the hotel’s rental rooms was reduced by 30%, while cooperation between persons assigning the tasks and the maintenance staff responsible for the tasks was accelerated and improved significantly, the elimination of communication gaps approached 100%. Processes were previously tracked by email and phone messaging groups, with 20 messages per minute. It took several minutes for each person to identify the task and the defect, or to interpret the task to be done, or see exactly where the process stood.
